I love love love Ghana! No lie! And to have one of my favourite Ghanaian hair and makeup artist, Valerie Lawson, release the Contours by Valerie Lawson (CVL) bridal beauty campaign was just E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G to me yesterday. I just couldn't wait to share it with you guys. She drew her inspiration for this campaign from the Muslim traditional bride, the Christian white wedding and the just concluded St. Valentine’s Day. Let's jump in...
THE LOOK
The choice to work with these models for this campaign was deliberate; they both had structured faces which did compliment the makeup direction for both looks.
For the eyes, Valerie went for a soft yet effortlessly flawless finish because she believes that every bride on their special day should look as natural as possible. She then tied the entire look together with a 'glamfully' styled hair that really opened up the bride's face, and stunning accessories. Did I hear you say sexy? You darn right!!!
For the Muslim (Northern) traditional bride’s look, she opted for earth tones and nude hues to create the perfectly neat and well-structured face.
